A removable lens cap for a single lens reflex camera having a through-the-lens metering system, is made of a translucent material having a light transmissivity of about 18%. The cap may be either flat or hemispherical. By using such a cap, the camera meter, normally used as a reflected light meter, may be used as an incident light meter.
