Abstract

1,176,054. Motor driving arrangements. TORIN CORP. 29 March, 1967, No. 40938/68. Divided out of 1,176,053. Heading H2A. [Also in Division F1] An air impeller unit comprises a housing, e.g. of synthetic plastics material, formed by joining two parts 78, 80, Fig. 2, as by ultrasonic welding. The driving motor (72), Figs. 1 and 3 (not shown), is wholly supported by the housing via a generally radially-outwardly-extending flange portion formed on the motor casing, or preferably, via a metal adapter 85 bolted through holes 94 to one end of the motor casing. The adapter has a radially-outwardlyturned flange 90 received in a radially-inwardlyopening groove formed in ribs 128, 130 on the parts 78, 80. The unit can be mounted on a wall by a number of flanges (122, 126) lying in a common vertical plane.
