Abstract

1,175,297. Wicket doors. W E S T L A N D ENGS. Ltd. 30 April, 1968 [1 May, 1967], No: 20115/67. Heading E1J. A wicket door and supporting frame assembly for roller shutters comprises a supporting frame comprises sides and top and bottom rails 11, the latter hingeably attached by pivot pins 12 to a support adjacent an aperture in the shutter 10, and pivotable clamping members 13, 14 held to the edges of the aperture by removable locking members 18. The member 14, nearest the support pins 12 being of Z-section and having at each end, welded thereto, a plate 17 normal to the longitudinal axis of the member 14 and carrying two pins 15, 16 on either side of the member 14; the door pivoting on the pins 15 and the member 14 pivoting the pins 16 located in the rails 11 so that on removal of locks 18, rotation of member 14 supporting the door, will cause the normal hinge position of the door to move away from or towards the inner adjacent vertical edge of the door aperture, the clamping member 13 being of angle section, so that with the door opened outwardly the members 13, 14 can be rotated to clear the edges 10, 20 of the shutter and then the door can be swung through the aperture and back against the wall of the enclosure with the support frame 11, when the shutter 10, 20, can then be raised.
