Abstract

1,174,935. Clothes airers. KINGSMERE ENG. Ltd. 15 Feb., 1968 [10 Dec., 1966], No. 55430/66. Heading A4U. A clothes line 1 is held captive on a radial arm 2 of a rotary clothes airer by a strap 3 having a single fixing point on the arm. As shown, the ends of the strap are secured by e.g. a rivet 4 to form a loop surrounding the arm. In manufacture the line is arranged helically or in concentric circles on the arms before securing of the straps. In modifications, the line passes through the loop which may not encircle the arm.
