Abstract

1,174,580. Bearings. FOTHERGILL & HARVEY Ltd. 16 March, 1967 [8 Feb., 1966; 17 March, 1966], Nos. 5524/66 and 11799/66. Heading F2A. A bearing shell 10 of P.T.F.E. is secured in a metal housing by means of an adhesive being applied to its external peripheral surface 11, the latter being provided with grooves 12, 13, Fig. 1, or with a groove 14, Fig. 2, to enable excess adhesive to escape and to produce a keying effect.
