1,173,871. Selective signalling. SOC. D'- ETUDES, RECHERCHES & CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTRONIQUES. 3 Jan., 1968 [11 Jan., 1967], No. 532/68. Addition to 1,169,570. Heading G4H. The system described in the parent Specification 1,169,570) is modified in that the alarm sensitive transducers, formerly change over switches, are replaced by two-pole switches 85, 86, 87, 88, and in that the remote oscillator 11 is self-powered instead of being powered by D.C. from the central station. The occurrence of an alarm causes one of switches 85, 86, 87, 88 to close thereby shorting the oscillator 11 output to ground via capacitors 91, 92, 93, 94, 97, 99. The return of a signal of frequency f to the central station is thus interrupted. Identification of the actuated alarm switch is effected in the manner described in the parent Specification, signals being applied successively, by units 81, 82, 83, 84 to the alarm switches, to turn on, at a time corresponding to the closed switch, an oscillator 16 which transmits a frequency f<SP>1</SP> back to the central station.
