Abstract

[Also in Division C7] A sampling device consists of a metal mould 1, mounted in the end of a holder tube 4 of insulating material, e.g. cardboard, with the closed end of the mould 3 towards the end of the support tube 4, a slot or hole 5 being cut in the holder tube 4 at a point above the open end of the mould. The slot may be temporarily blocked by a ring 6, of aluminium or mild steel or covered by one or more layers of adhesivecoated paper. A second slot 5A may be provided in the holder tube further away from the mould than the first slot or hole.
