Abstract

1,173,520. Containers. N. J. MITCHELL, and A. G. MITCHELL. 24 July, 1967 [1 Aug., 1966], No. 33890/67. Heading B8P. [Also in Divisions B7 and E1] A container has metal loops 13 spaced apart in two rows on chamfered straight edges so that similar containers can be joined thereto by mating loops on one container with spaces between loops on another container and inserting a pin through the loops. The container may be made from corrugated sheets and comprise sections for cutting out vents 10, doors or windows &c. The containers may be used as portable buildings with internal fittings such as benches, tanks, atomic fall-out shelters, bridge foundations, water craft such as lighters (Fig. 4, not shown) bridge pontoons &c. floating helicopter pad, assault boats &c.
