1,173,303. Coating compositions for optical glass. CANON CAMERA CO. Ltd. 20 Aug., 1968, No. 37765/66. Heading C4A. [Also in Divisions C3 and G2] Compositions for coating optical glass comprise a light-absorbent material of maximum particle size 0À16 Á, and a carrier therefor. Examples 2 and 3 contain carbon black, rosin, methyl ethyl ketone, and oil black (Example 2) or Sudan black (Example 3). Example 4 consists of oil black, Metalac M black and Metalac M black thinner. Example 5 contains black, yellow and scarlet oil-soluble dyes, carbon black, pitch, epoxy resin and toluol. Example 7 contains black and brown watersoluble dyes, gum arabic and water.
