[Also in Division B8] A thermo-formed shell having one or more steep depressions is formed from a sheet blank of uneven thickness, the uneven thickness being due to the presence of one or more thermoplastic reinforcement layers giving an increased thickness to part of its area, and the depression or depressions being at the position or positions of increased thickness in the blank. The shell may be a tray for foodstuffs and a package completed by heat sealing thereon a sheet of lidding material.
