Abstract

1,170,812. Jet looms. NISSAN JIDOSHA K.K. 13 June, 1967 [18 June, 1966], No. 27333/67. Heading DIE. Two wefts 13a, 13b inserted into the fabric on alternate picks are measured simultaneously and continuously by passing them round a measuring drum 16 running at constant speed, and are then stored in individual suction tubes 18a, 18b. From the outlets 19a, 19b of the store, the yarns pass through cam-operated clamps to weft inserting nozzles 35 in a rotatable drum 36. A cam 61 imparts endwise movement to a rack 57 meshing with a pinion 56 on the drum, whereby the drum is turned backwards and forwards to bring the two nozzles 35 into picking position alternately, where they communicate with an air supply duct 47.
