Abstract
1,169,096. Separating gases by diffusion. PRODUITS CHIMIQUES PECHINEYSAINT-GOBAIN. 20 April, 1967 [21 April, 1966], No. 18239/67. Heading B1L. [Also in Division Cl] A mixture of N 2 and He is enriched in He by diffusion through a filter made of fired boehmite (Al 2 O 3 .H 2 O). The boehmite is obtained by heating a suspension or cake of precipitated Al 2 O 3 gel containing monovalent acid ions (see Division Cl) and has a surface area of 10-150 m<SP>2</SP>/g. The pore size distribution of one such dried and calcined product is given.
