Abstract

1,168,513. Brushes; sponges K. NAKAMURA and S. YAMAGIWA. 16 Oct., 1967 [19 Oct., 1966], No. 46988/67. Headings A4K and A4V. In a bath brush, having bristle tufts 3 mounted in a rigid stock 1, the tufts are surrounded by foam material 5, bonded to the stock and extending beyond the ends of the tufts. The foam material may be polyvinyl alcohol or vinyl acetate. A detachable handle 7 may be provided. The assembly 3, 5 may be applied to both faces of stock 1, which may be of wood, metal, polystyrene or polypropylene.
