Abstract

1,167,071. Land mines. INDUSTRIEWERKE KARLSRUHE A.G. 19 May, 1967 [6 July, 1966], No. 23426/67. Heading F3A. Land mine comprising a cup-shaped container 1 accommodating a hollow charge container 2 adapted to be ejected from the container 1 by ignition of a propellant charge 24, and a magnetic device 10, 15, 16, 17, 18 adapted to produce an electrical impulse for firing an explosive capsule 8 igniting the hollow charge, a trigger wire 13 being attached to the container 1 and the magnetic device to actuate the magnetic device when the container 2 has been displaced from the container 1 by the force of the propellant charge through a distance which is predetermined by the length of the trigger wire. The magnetic device comprises a coil 18, a permanent magnet 15, a withdrawable core 17, and pole shoes 10 and 16.
