Compositions for combatting animal infections comprise a parenterally acceptable carrier, from 1 to 20 parts by weight of a tetracycline antibiotic and one part of polymyxin B methanesulphonate or the sodium salt thereof. Several 'tetracycline antibiotics are specified.
