Divers, air supply for.-In a breathing-apparatus, more particularly for divers, in which the air is circulated by an electric fan, a dry air-purifying cartridge is inserted in the air-circulation conduit. As shown in Fig. 1, the motor a, driven from a battery b, drives a fan c to draw air from the divers' helmet, breathing-mask or breathing- bag through a purifying-cartridge e; the air, encircled if desired by oxygen &c. from a container h, then passes through a conduit g back to the helmet. In place of the battery, the motor may be driven through a cable, which may be used simultaneously or alternately for telephoning. In the helmet, the conduit g is provided with a mouuhpiece n with inlet and outlet valves o, p for use when the fan c is out of action.
