1,162,743. Cleaning or phosphating sheets, wires &c. RUTHNER INDUSTRIEPLANUNGS A.G. April 28, 1967 [April 28, 1966], No. 19814/67. Headings C7E and C7U. Bands, sheets or wires are treated with liquids e. g. for cleaning or phosphating by passing them through channels 8, and introducing the liquid at 9 so that it flows countercurrent to the direction of movement of the sheet. Flaps 11 which may be weight or spring-loaded constrict the flow of the liquid and increase its velocity when it flows under the flaps.
