A Hooke's joint for motor-vehicle steering columns comprises a central spider member 1 formed with an integral pair of trunnions 4 each end of a cylindrical body 3, dimensioned for fitting through a journal bore of a yoke arm 6, and a cross trunnion pin 2 press-fitted in a central through hole in the spider body 3, the pin 2 being knurled at its centre section 14 for accurate and rigid retention therein. Nylon plain and saddle-shaped thrust washers 12, 13 are arranged on the spider cross trunnions 4, 7 which are journalled in oil-impregnated sintered powdered metal bearing bushes 5, 8 pressfitted in the journal bores of the yokes 6, 9.
