[Also in Division Cl] A pesticide is employed in an aqueous carrier comprising 0.1-2% of a mixture consisting of 5-95% of Xanthomonas hydrophilic colloid and 95-5% of locust bean gum. The composition may be sprayed through a high shear nozzle. The colloid may be produced by the bacterium Xanthomonas campestris, carotae, incanae, begoniae, malvacearum, or phaseoli. Specified pesticides are dimethyl 2,3,5,6-tetrachloroterepihthalate, sodium 2,2-dichloropropionate, 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acid, 2- (2,4-dichloro) phenoxy) propionic acid, and 2, 4-dichiorophenoxyacetic acid (herbicides); N- trichloromethylmercapto-4-cyclohexene-1 2-dicarboximide, tetramethyl thiuram disulphide, 1,2,3,4,5,6-hexachlorobenzene, and disodium ethylene bisdithiocarbamate (fungicides); 1,2,4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8-octachloro-3a, 4, 7, 7a-tetrahydro- 4,7-methaneindane, 1,1,1-trichloro-2,2-bis (pchlorophenyl)-ethane, 1,2,3,4,5,6-hexachlorocyclohexane, O,O-dimethyl S-(1,2-dicarbethoxyethyl) phosphorodithioate, and 3-(1-methyl- 2-pyrrolidyl)pyridine (insecticides); and 2-(ptert-butylphenoxy)-isopropyl 2-chloro-ethyl sulphite, p-chlorophenyl p-chlorobenzenesulphonate, tetraethyl pyrophosphate, O,O-diethyl s-(p-chlorophenylthiomethyl) phosphorodithioate (miticides).
