Body attachments, buoyant.-A combined mattress and life-saving suit is formed as a single composite device and comprises an encircling lifebelt arranged below the sleeves and adapted to serve as a pillow, under which a hood and sleeves can then be folded, and leg members adapted to be tied together. Figs. 1 and 3 respectively show the device folded up for use as a mattress and ready for life-saving purposes. It comprises layers 4, 5 of fabric, which may be waterproofed and enclose kapok &c. 6 in those portions covering the wearer's legs and body. A collar band 9 and a hood 12 secured at the back are provided with draw-rings 10, 13, and sleeves 8 formed integrally with gloves 11 are furnished. A child or clothing &c. may be placed in a pouch 15 formed of two layers 16, 17 enclosing buoyant padding 18 and provided with a draw-string 20 around a collar 19, to the back of which a hood 21 with a draw-string 22 is secured.
