Abstract
1,159,777. Transducer circuits. TEXTRON Inc. 10 April, 1968 [17 April, 1967], No. 17266/68. Heading H4J. A piezo-electric transducer, e.g. a microphone, 10, is connected to modulate the D.C. flowing through transistor 35 supplied via a coaxial cable 12 from a regulated supply 15. The voltage applied to the cable 12 is regulated by the series regulator transistor 45 whose impedance is controlled by the regulating transistor 52. The current supplied to the line passes through a resistor 43, the voltage across which, modulated in accordance with the signal from transducer 10, is fed to output terminals 20 via amplifying transistors 60 and 61. The circuit provides a high impedance input for the transducer 10 with a low impedance at the connetting cable 12. A number of voltage regulator circuits, Fig. 2 (not shown), may be connected at intervals along a very long connecting cable.
