Mud-guards.-The longitudinal members of a motor-vehicle chassis are connected midway between the ends by a flat shallow sheet-metal box, the ends of which project laterally to form or support footboards. The mud-guards rise from the ends of the footboards as straight portions and are arched over the wheels. The rear mudguard terminates in a straight portion extending to opposite the stationary pivot of the rear spring- shackle.
