Abstract
1,158,554. Centrifugal casting-machines. KANZAKI KOKYU KOKI MFG. CO. Ltd. 3 Oct., 1966 [9 July, 1966], No. 44098/66. Heading B3F. A centrifugal casting machine comprises an indexable turret 21 having six working stations A-F, each comprising a mould 30 that can be selectively rotated within the turret 21. The working stations comprise a pouring station A (Fig. 4, not shown), a cooling station B, a casting removing station C (Fig. 5, not shown), a scavenging station D (Fig. 6, not shown), a mould coating station E (Fig. 7, not shown), and a mould temperature readjusting station F. The pouring station A comprises a metal weighing vessel 35 that pours through a receptacle 37 and a rotatable front cover 34 that is moved into engagement with the rotating mould 30. The cooling station B comprises water sprays 39. The casting removing station C comprises a ram-operated push-rod to eject the casting on to a shoot 41 and includes compressed air blowing channels. The scavenging station D comprises a rotating wire brush 43 and a suction device for removing the mould coating material, the brush 43 and suction device being mounted on a trolley and advanced into the mould 30 when required. The coating station E similarly comprises a trolley 47 carrying a container for a liquid coating material and supporting a spray head and compressed air duct 46 that is advanced into the mould 30 to coat the inside thereof. The temperature readjusting station F comprises waterspraying means.
