Abstract

[Also in Division H2] An insulated lead-through terminal comprises two insulating tubular members 10 and 15, the one 15 being slidable over the outer surface of one end of the other 10 to grip a supporting member 8 between itself and abutment 11 on the other, the inside surfaces of the two members being cylindrical and bounded at ends 13 and 16 by walls perpendicular to their axes. These end walls have slits 14 and 17 to allow a conducting member 18, having a stop shoulder 19 near one end, to pass through both tubular members. Deformation at the other end of the conducting member when it is in position in the tubular members serves to lock them together. The conducting member is of strip form and has a raised pip on its surface to form a detent to retain it within member 10. The tubular members are made of nylon.
