Abstract
1,157,884. Papermaking. SUMITOMO CHEMICAL CO. Ltd. 11 July, 1966 [13 July, 1965], No. 19980/67. Divided out of 1,157,883. Heading D2A. The subject-matter of this specification is included in the parent specification, but the claims are concerned with a method for controlling slime-forming micro-organisms which comprises feeding methylene bisthiocyanate with a carrier to a paper-mill water system for periods of 6 to 10 hours at intervals of 14 to 42 hours, keeping the concentration of methylene bisthiocyanate in the water systems at 0.1 to 10 p.p.m. during the periods of feeding.
