[Also in Division G3] A measuring arrangment comprises two grids 11, 15 positioned adjacent one another with fluid supplied at 20 so that relative movement between the two grids varies the fluid path to cause fluctuations in pressure whereby changes in phase relationship are represented in digital fashion. These pressure changes are used to determine the relative dispositions of the two parts. The grids may be circular to determine relative angular movement.
