Abstract

1,156,137. Flashlamp adaptors. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 28 June, 1966 [28 June, 1965], No. 28837/66. Heading H2E. [Also in Division G2] A flash extender comprises an extension column 11 having at one end a socket portion 12 which receives a multilamp flash package, a base portion 13 at the other end for insertion into a receiving socket of a flash device, and a plurality of electric conductors 14 extending from the base 13, pairs of the conductors 14 selectively engaging pairs of contacts of the corresponding lamps of an inserted package with a pair of terminals in said receiving socket of the flash device. The flash device may be used with the camera disclosed in Specification 1,131,106. The conductors 14, which may be fitted into grooves 22 in the column 11, have clips 25 at their lower ends which overlie a ring 23 for engaging the terminals of the flash device. The socket portion 12 includes a centrally located platform 16 and post 17 which together define a rectangular boss 18 around which is a resilient spring 20, for detachably retaining the flash package.
