Abstract

1,155,495. Table-top tennis games. LUIS CONGOST S.A. 31 Jan., 1968, No. 5080/68. Heading A6H. A table-top tennis game comprises a play unit which consists of a substantially spherical element or ball, 4, fixedly connected to a rigid rod, 6, arranged at the central point of a plane, horizontal surface, 2, forming the playing court, the latter being divided into two sides corresponding to the competing players, each side being equipped with a combined intercepting-launching device, 9; the two latter being equidistant from the said central point and connected to a vertical spindle, 13, in a hinged manner, the said spindle being situated at the said central point and the said intercepting-launching devices being connected to the same by means of rigid bars, 12, so that they may be displaced angularly in a plane parallel to the said plane surface and along an arc, by the players involved. The devices, 9, preferably consist of an element, 5, curved to a concave shape and comprise a longitudinal extension equipped at its extremity with a launching knob, 11, the said extension being arranged so as to rock in an opening traversing a vertical branch of the rigid bar, 12. The central point of the .playing court may be a projection, 8, including a groove, 8a, opening outwards at either side in which a horizontal pin or spindle, 7, is secured transversely, the rod, 6, being freely pivotable on the spindle, 7, so that it describes displacements in essentially vertical planes.
