Abstract
1,155,365. Immunological reaction. T. MATUHASI and T. KOBAYASHI. 9 June, 1966, No. 25756/66. Heading B1X. An immunological reaction product is formed by a method comprising introducing into a capillary tube an antigen-antibody reaction mixture comprising a solution containing an antigen, blood corpuscles having adsorbed on them the same antigen and an antiserum containing antibodies corresponding to the antigen and supporting the capillary tube at an angle of between 20‹ and 70‹ to the vertical until the erythorocytes have precipitated on the inner wall of the capillary. The capillary tube may be 1 mm internal diameter, 100 mm length. Sheep erythocytes, optionally formalinised, may be used, or erythrocytes treated with tannic acid. The antigen may be HCG γ globulin, insulin.
