1,153,324. Sustained release tablets, FISONS PHARMACEUTICALS Ltd. 28 June, 1967 [19 May, 1966], No. 22327/66. Heading A5B. A sustained release tablet comprises granules formed by dispersing a medicament in a matrix of shellac. In examples, tablets containing ferrous sulphate and/or ferrous ascorbate are prepared, as well as two-layer tablets containing ing ferrous sulphate in one layer and ascorbic acid in the other. Conventional additives may also be present.
