An on-line tubular desiccator 10a contains a bead desiccant 13a which is retained in position at the outlet end 12a by an end cap 14" and at the inlet end 11a by a perforated baffle 14a' which is itself held in place by ring 25 which frictionally engages the inside wall of the tube and which carries a spring finger 27 which bears against baffle 14a'.
