1,152,225. EHT generators. MOTOROLA Inc. 25 May, 1967 [8 Aug., 1966], No. 24362/67. Heading H2F. [Also in Division H3] A piezoelectric transformer (see Division H3) 10 provides a high voltage from the terminal 46 through a resistor 106 to the screen of the tube 96 of a T.V. receiver. The input applied to terminal 50 is taken from a transformer winding 104 in horizontal deflection system 102. Since the resonant frequency of the device 10 decreases as the load on it increases this ensures that the voltage applied to the screen remains relatively independent of changes in brightness.
