Abstract
1,152,050. Oxidation catalysts. EASTMAN KODAK CO. 16 Aug., 1966 [24 Aug., 1965], No. 60549/68. Divided out of 1152049. Heading B1E. Oxidation catalysts comprise 5-75% of an oxide of Mo+2-50% of an oxide of Nb and/or Ta. Additionally the catalysts may contain an oxide of As, e.g. AS 2 O 3 , or AS 2 O 5 . The catalyst may be supported on SiO 2 , SiO 2 -Al 2 O 3 , TiO 2 , or SiC, having an average pore size of 20A. Conventional preparation, calcination, crushing and sieving of the catalyst are described.
