In a laminating machine for the production of foam/fabric laminates a driven endless belt or band 11a extends to a position directly adjacent a support means 12 for a supply of foamed material, engages such supply and receives material from the supply, the support surface of the belt or band supporting the foamed material, and progressing it. In the machine described foamed material from a supply roll 12, supported from swinging arms 19 and pressed against the endless belt 11a, is fed by the belt and via a spreader 37 to the nip between a backing roller 24 coated with P.T.F.E. and a coating roller 13a which receives adhesive from a reservoir 13c and applies it to the foamed material. Fabric from a supply roll 15 supported on pivotal arms 30 and pressed against an endless belt 14a is fed by this belt to the nip between an air pressure actuated pressure roller 28 and the backing roller 24 where it is laminated to the adhesive coated foamed material. The laminate 17 then passes to a driven steam heated curing drum 16 against which it is held by an endless blanket 35, and then to a take up roll 18.
