Abstract

1,149,759. Etching. XEROX CORP. 18 April, 1966 [30 April, 1965], No. 16982/66. Heading B6J. A layer of Cu, Ni or A1 on an insulating substrate has a resist applied to it, e.g. xerographically or by silk screen printing, and is etched to form a spiral. Cu may be etched with a ferric chloride solution. Insulating material subsequently deposited in the interstices of the spiral and over the Cu, Ni or A1 may be partially removed by etching. Preferably the insulating material is a ferrite.
