Abstract

114,915. Brown, J. F. May 2, 1917. Suction apparatus; digging-apparatus. - A dredge cutter comprises an axle member 5, with trunnions 8, carrying disks 6 with recesses 11 in their inner faces, and blades 12 secured in the recesses having cutting-edges extending across the peripheries of the disks and having their side portions converging from the cutting-edges to the rear edges. The blades may carry detachable cutting-teeth 15. The cutter is secured in a frame 1, delivers to a suction pipe 2, and is driven by chain gearing 10, fenders 16 being provided over the chain near the cutter.
