Abstract

1,148,638. Axial piston pumps. LINDE A.G. June 23, 1967 [June 24, 1966], No.29071/67. Heading F1A. An axial piston pump has a tiltable cylinder block 2 mounted by bearings 6 in bearing blocks 4 and 5 secured to a transmission housing wall 8, liquid flow taking place through passages 11 between cylinder block 2 and bearing blocks 4 and 5, and hydraulic pressure in passages 11 acting to force blocks 4 and 5 away from cylinder block 2 being taken up by one or more tie rods 9 between blocks 4 and 5. The tie rods 9 and bearings 6 may be in a common plane, or bearings 6 may be located between the tie rods and wall 8. Spacers 10 surround or are adjacent to tie rods 9. Bearings 6 have fluid seals. A motor supplied by the pump may be mounted on valve face 3 on block 4. A servomotor 7 for tilting the cylinder block is mounted on block 5.
