A clamp for attaching a cross bar 1 to a flanged girder or mine arch 16 consists of a pair of opposed jaws 3, 4 mounted on a closed loop 14 of isosceles triangular shape to effect a wedging action, see Fig. 1 (not shown). For minor modifications to the loop and jaws, Figs. 4 - 9 (not shown), should be referred to.
