Abstract

1,146,904. Knitting-machines. ACE ENG. CO. 6 April, 1966 [18 June, 1965], No. 15276/66. Heading D1C. A throat plate includes a ceramic insert 38 at the yarn engaging edge of the channel, extending up one side wall, at 40 and partly across the channel. The insert has a metallic coating on its under-side and is soldered to the plate. The bed of the channel is made up to the level of the insert by a shim 24.
