Abstract

1,146,565. Kallikrein and tripsin inhibitor. RICHTER GEDEON VEGYESZETI GYAR R.T. 29 March, 1967 [5 April, 1966], No. 14350/67. Heading C3H. A process for the preparation of a polypeptide, having a kallikrein- and tripsininactivating effect, in high purity and concentration from purified animal organ extracts includes the steps of cooling a solution obtained after deproteinizing said purified animal organ extracts to a temperature below 15‹ C. in the presence of from 2 to 10% (W/V) sulphosalicylic acid, separating the precipitate formed, dissolving said precipitate in water and removing traces of sulphosalicylic acid from the solution so obtained. The deproteinizing may be brought about by a prior treatment with sulphosalicylic acid at a higher temperature, for example 20‹ C., followed by centrifugation; alternatively the solution may be deproteinized with trichloroacetic acid. The traces of sulphosalicylic acid may be removed from the solution of the precipitate by treatment with anion exchange resin.
