[Also in Division A4] A seed potato cutting machine comprises a pair of endless chains 20 between which are journalled a plurality of shafts 23 each carrying a plurality of rollers 27 shaped to provide pockets for receiving and centring potatoes between corresponding pairs of rollers on adjacent shafts. The rollers are rotated as they are advanced by chains 20 by bearing frictionally on plate 32. A plurality of endless belts 35 pass over shafts 23 between the rollers 27 and over a driving roller 36 to carry potatoes downwardly and forwardly from the end of the roller conveyer for engagement between feed rollers 49, 51 for cutting by knife 57.
