Abstract

114,517. Hartt, A., and Ayers, P. C. May 15, 1917. Gloves, especially those intended for foundry men, electricians, and the like, are provided with detachable covers having fastening means for securing together the glove and its cover, so that one pair of gloves may outlast many covers. T h e drawing shows a glove with its cover as worn. The cover 4 is provided with a thumb stall 9, and at its lower edge with a strap 5, or in place of or in addition to the strap, with two side-straps 6, 7 having holes and a buckle 8 respectively. The glove 1, shown in dotted lines in the upper part, has the usual thumb stall, and at its wrist part is provided with a short strap 2 with buckle 3 to engage with the strap 5 on the cover. The glove and cover may be made of leather, rubber, or other material, according to requirements, and be provided with separate finger-stalls. Other known fashioning-devices may be used.
