Abstract

1,144,938. Illuminated garments. WEST & MUAT Ltd. 16 Feb., 1968 [18 Nov., 1966], No. 51665/66. Heading F4R. [Also in Division H2] At least two housings for electric lamps and an electric device for flashing the lamps alternately are mounted on a garment. In the form shown, a sleeveless jerkin which may be made of lightweight reflective P.V.C., supports housings 12, 13 on the front and 14, 15 on the back, the lamps in the housings being supplied from batteries 16, 17 in the pockets through a flasher unit 18. The lamps are switched on by means of a pull switch 19 on the housing 13. Each lamp at the front is connected in parallel with one at the back, the pairs of lamps being so arranged in an unstable transistorized multi-vibrator circuit that they are lighted alternately.
