In an electric oscillating circuit or filter element, comprising a series-resonant element having a quadratic temperature coefficient, e.g. a quartz crystal, a temperature response compensating element is connected in series and comprises a ceramic capacitor having a dielectric constant which is a quadratic function of the temperature of opposite sign.
