A traffic warning lamp is supported on a stand comprising a head 15 having an aperture tongue 11 and formed integrally with two or three diverging legs 14 each of which is in the form of a tube segment. The stand is made by slitting a tube longitudinally from one end to short of the other end and then bending the tube segments outwardly.
