Abstract

1,143,918. Pressure dyeing apparatus. J. M. A. BLANCAFORT. 1 Feb., 1968, No. 5280/68. Heading D1L. Pressure chambers 9 containing dye under heat and pressure contain perforated containers 29 (or hooks or other material holding means) and an electro-magnetic coupling 25, 31, 32 is used to transmit relative motion to the container or like 29 and the chamber 9, either moving, or the other being fixed. As shown eccentric 20 reciprocates rod 17 in the fixed central core 11 of the water bath 2 and, through rod 18 and the magnetic coupling 25, 31, 32 reciprocated rods 30. A heater 4 and agitators 23 are provided in the bath. In an alternative embodiment the chambers 9 move and the rods 30 remain fixed.
