Abstract

1,141,528. Self-rigid resistances. KANTHAL, A.B. 24 May, 1966 [24 May, 1965], No. 23197/66. Heading H5H. [Also in Division C7] A sintered electric resistor with a heating zone containing recrystallized SiC is connected to terminal leads, comprising mainly MoSi 2 with grain growth inhibitors, by grinding the ends of the terminals and heating zone part which are then pressed together and heated. The terminal leads may contain other silicides in addition to the MoSi 2 and up to a maximum of 40% by volume non-recrystallized SiC.
