Abstract
1,137,384. Roller blind shutters. PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE VEB. Feb.3, 1966, No.4768/66. Heading G2A. A braking arrangement for the blinds 10, 11 of a roller blind shutter comprises a bent leaf spring 4 and a pivoted brake shoe 7 urged by a spring 6 into contact with the spring 4 in the tensioned position of the shutter Fig. 1 (not shown). As the shutter runs down bars 12, 13 attached to the blinds 10,11 pass into the acute angle formed by the spring 4 and the shoe 7 pivoting the shoe anti-clockwise (as seen) until a projection 8 thereof contacts the edge of a recess 16 in a plate 1 on which the shoe and springs are mounted. The bars then force the spring 4 away from the shoe 7, this action slowing them down. The blinds are brought to a complete halt with the aid of a resilient stop (not shown) and assume the position illustrated. In rewinding the blinds, the shoe 7 is pivoted completely into the recess, Fig. 3 (not shown).
