A unitary self-supporting structure for use as a urinal comprising a substantially vertical back wall 11, substantially vertical side walls 12 extending forwardly from the edges of the back wall, a trough 13 formed at the base of the walls, a top member 14 formed at the top of the walls, and a flushing mechanism 15 contained in the top member. The structure includes a base 27 by means of which it can rest on and be supported by a floor 28 and the base has a member 29 which extends upwards and forwardly from the edge of the trough to form a splash guard. The structure is provided with a water inlet 18 for supplying water to the flushing mechanism, said flushing mechanism and a cistern 17 being situated in the top of the structure, which has the form of a hollow container, the outlet 19 for the flushing mechanism being situated in the bottom of the container. The trough, which is preferably of U-shaped section and is positioned above the level of the surface on which the urinal is placed, has an outlet 39 and is preferably covered by a grill 26 which is removable and may be locked in position by locking nuts 41. The structure may be fixed to a wall by a bracket member 37 and bolts 38 and may be constructed from a synthetic resin material which may be reinforced with glass fibre. The invention includes a plurality of such urinals mutually juxtaposed.
