Abstract

1,136,719. Plastic baths. PLASTICS (MANCHESTER) Ltd. 14 April, 1967 [2 June, 1966], No. 24551/66. Heading A4N. A bath 10 of plastic sheet material has integral mounting means for mounting it on a template 11 laid on the floor, mounting the bath on the template being done either directly or by intermediate members connected to the mounting means, the latter being of such a size in relation to the bath as to allow two similar baths to be nested one within the other. The mounting means may or may not be of the same material as the bath. As shown, the mounting means is a plank of wood 13 extending lengthwise of the bath and bonded to the outer surface of the base with a coating 12 comprising, for example, a mixture of fibre glass and polyester resin, there being a cross beam 14 at each end of the plank and locating dowels 15 on the cross beams for location in holes 16 in the template. The bath may have a turned over rim 17 and reinforcing means 18, e.g. hardboard, under at least part of the rim. The mounting means may also have a reinforcing function. .
